The Ru of Ollomont
Magnificent route suitable for adult cyclists and very well trained and with good technique given the length and the presence of several technical passages and exposed such as two tunnels, stairways, suspended steel walkways and some sections of a path equipped with rope on the side. This itinerary, despite the various difficulties, is able to arouse strong emotions due to its completeness and variety of terrains and environments crossed. We start by following the old Ru du Mont route on the flat until we reach the mouth of the 1.8 m high 1 m wide tunnel and about 800 m long which allows the connection with the Doues valley where it is necessary to accompany the bike by hand providing front , flashlight or alternatively the light of your smartphone as there is a lighting system but with widely spaced fixtures. After listening to the always different voice of the Ru inside the tunnel, continue on a low-speed paved road for about 8 km until you reach Champillon. Take the Ru de By which, with a very low gradient, allows you to go almost entirely through the Conca di By enjoying a splendid view of Mont Gelé, the Grand Combin and all the mountains of the Central Valley. In this segment there are two exposed sections, but equipped with rope where particular attention must be paid when driving the vehicle by hand. Between the two difficult points there is also a suggestive passage in a carving in the rock where it is necessary to lift the bike vertically and rotate the handlebar to be able to cross the narrow passage. Leaving the beautiful single track near the Porchère pasture, continue downhill on farm roads until you reach Chevrière. From here a direct route with its numerous backs and an excellent bottom but with a considerable slope that allows us to return to Vaud and to take the Ru du Mont through some small fords and a tunnel of 60 meters to bring us back to the starting point.
Warnings: Remember to pay the utmost attention and caution when getting off the bike and accompanying it to the side of the rider in exposed stretches and in the presence of natural and artificial obstacles of a certain size. Please note that it is not advisable for those suffering from claustrophobia due to the presence of two galleries.

Under the gaze of the Grand Combin
Superb course suitable for adult bikes and very well trained with excellent technical and trial skills given the length and the presence of several technical passages, exposed and equipped with a difficult and treacherous descent to be covered in some points with the biker’s side vehicle. Mostly it traces the route of the previous itinerary called “I Ru di Ollomont”, up to the Porchère pasture, where at the end of the descent it is necessary to turn right and go up a good part of the basin crossing the pasture of By, Balme de Bal until to get to Places. From here the farm leaves room for a very technical single track that, with many exposed passages and hairpin bends, allows you to descend over the town of Glassier via the Gaula path passing by the small chapel carved into the rock of Notre Dame de la Gaula . Once near Glassier continue on a magnificent traverse until you cross the Buthier stream near Vaud to take the Ru du Mont through a few fords and a 60m tunnel until you reach the starting point.
